Borås Golfklubb
History
Borås Golfklubb is the 15th oldest golfclub in Sweden, dating back to 1933. At that time, the club was located in a military exercise area and a railway car was the "Clubhouse".
In 1954 the club was moved to its present location, with a new course ready to welcome the members.
In 1990 an additional course, with two separate 9-holes courses, was opened.
The club has 2500 members and during the season there is a large number of competitions and activities available for the members.
The club has teams in a number of leagues and one in the top league.
The courses
The two courses are of different types.
The old course (Par 72), called "Norra", is a parkland course where every hole needs concentration. There is no: "I just have to ......".
The new course (Par 69), called "Södra", is a forest, parkland course with two 9-holes courses.
Facilities
Our clubhouse is spacious with a fully licensed restaurant, which offers a continental style cousine.
Additionally, the club also boasts a well-appointed pro shop with experienced golf instructors.
Parking area for caravans.
How to get there
Borås Golfklubb is located about 50 km from Gothenburg/Landvetter airport. Take road 40 from the airport to the city Borås where exit 86 will take you to road 41/27. From there, follow the signs to the club.
